As some of you know, I live in an...interesting part of town. (I have bullet holes in my siding.) It is a "transitioning" neighborhood and we have an awesome house that will be worth quite a lot of money in a few years (if the entire economy doesn't collapse and ruin us all...but I digress). Some info: all the plots are very close as we are in the city.

I happened to be working from home yesterday when I clearly heard the sound of my ladder being purloined from my side yard. I paused for a moment to be sure and indeed, I heard it clattering along.

Well I grabbed my handgun and slipped on my shoes and marched right outside thinking, "you picked the wrong day, motherfucker!"

I went barreling around the side of the house shouting, "Put down that ladder and get the fuck off my property, bitch!"

Boy, I sure scared the hell out of the preacher using his ladder at the church right next door...
